Join us once again for Part 2 of the webinar by Dr. Amrita Shodhan as she looks at pivotal role played by ginans in the legal arguments of the 1866 Aga Khan case and the way that 'fit' with Sunni or Shia religious belief. She will also examine the continuities of faith in the Indian subcontinent beyond Hindu/Muslim categories in the oral literature like ginans, prabhatiya songs of Vaishnav and so on.

Dr. Amrita Shodhan works as a Senior Research Fellow at SOAS, University of London. Her research is focused on colonial legalities and sociology of knowledge.
